(Dedicated to all those Indians who serve country without
any question or need for recognition.
And to remind ourselves that nation is not
only a geographic promise but a collective responsibility)
He walked
alone in the beginning
Like a clueless
kid finding its first steps in the world
Never knew
how to begin, where to go
But believed
that his steps will make a path for others
When all of
us were committed to the role of spectators
Busy in the
job of clapping and jeering as the situation called for
He alone had
a dream to fight for freedom of his brothers
The
unfortunate ones who our so-called-society ignores
He could
have stayed back waiting for the world to change
Hidden
behind the comfortable life he can easily afford
Could have
spent his time commenting about the system
And making
big plans for his own future
But alas he
was different
Listened to
a different drummer and made a way on his own
A God of small things
An ignited
soul who knew the true meaning of freedom
